About Us

Alheri Women Initiative for Sustainable Empowerment (AWISE) is a Nigerian non-governmental organization committed to empowering women and girls to achieve economic independence, social inclusion, and sustainable development. We believe that when women are empowered, families thrive, communities grow stronger, and nations prosper. For the past 6 years, AWISE has been training community members across 3 of the 6 Northwestern States of Nigeria on entrepreneurial skills for women and youths and providing micro credit facilities for sustainability.

AWISE was birth in 2020 Mr Luka Abdu from his urge to see that women are also engaged in economic activities in their marital homes after the COVID-19 lock-down in katsina state when markets where locked up and most households couldn’t have access to ordinary foodstuffs. Our activities and expansion are driven by community needs and request for interventions. Hence, we are open for feedbacks and evaluation as guide for our mode of operations.
